FINDING HUISH PARK

The football ground is well sign posted from all main routes into Yeovil.

Winter program usually within the town with training suitable for most abilities, from 10 minute miling up to as fast as you like!
Regular time trials and hill training sessions take place but there is no compulsion to take part although it is more fun than you might imagine!

Summer program usually starts as one large group getting out into the countryside, largely off road and trails, the group separating into two or three smaller groups to cater for distance.

Club Championship Races 2007-2008
For all members, both new and old, here are details of the next Club Championships. There are twenty races throughout the year, culminating with the Ilminster 10km finale which means that we get to award the prestigious Club Champion trophy at the Christmas Meal.

Rather than having to complete a certain number of races, or results being on a “best 8 results” principle (as the Somerset Series does), ours is a simple First Past the Post system – you can run all 20 races and the one at the end of the year with the most points wins; easy!

Points are awarded on the basis of 50 for first placed Club runner, 49 for second, 48 for third and so on, regardless of their race placing – however, win the race or get a placing and you get 5 bonus points.

There ia also 26 bonus points up for grabs if you complete a marathon during the year (if you do 10 marathons you still only get 26 points)
